2 Day Summer Baseball Camp

The Yard Baseball Academy and CCBC Essex Baseball

The Yard Baseball Academy and CCBC Essex Baseball are teaming up to host an exciting 2-Day Summer Baseball Camp. Players of all skill levels will benefit from instruction by former professionals and current college coaches and players. Our focus will be on player development, situational baseball, and the mental aspects of the game, all while ensuring a fun atmosphere. Camp activities will cover hitting, pitching, fielding, and base running, with engaging competitions planned throughout the two days.

High Heat Pitching Clinic

Loyola Blakefield Varsity Pitching Coach, and former Maryland Terp, Will Glock will be coaching this five-session pitching clinic. Coach Glock will focus on arm pitch mechanics, strength, and arm care. This clinic will include a mobility routine, arm care routine, plyo ball routine, medicine ball drills, and drills for home. The foundation that is laid at Coach Glock’s clinic will aid participants in preparation for their spring season. 

5 weeks @ 90 minutes per session.

Art of Catching

Harford Community College Hitting/Catching Coach, and former Auburn Tiger, Jake Wyandt will be coaching this four-session catching clinic. Coach Jake will focus on overall defense (receiving, blocking, pop time) and game management (pitch calling, controlling base runners, reading batters swings). Players will receive drills for home tailored to their needs.

4 weeks @ 90 minutes per session.

Holiday Season Hitters Clinic

Stevenson University Hitting Coach, Tom Holcomb will be coaching this five-session hitting clinic. Coach Tom’s clinic will focus on strength training, exit speed, and personalized swing mechanics. Each player will receive a Rapsodo Hitting report that will track their progress through data/metrics, along with weekly drills for home.

5 weeks @ 90 minutes per session.

Fall Pro Hitters

New York Yankees Hitting Coach, Kevin Martir will be coaching this one-day hitting clinic Saturday, October 21st. Coach Kevin will focus on players' swing mechanics, approach at the plate, and pitch recognition. Using Rapsodo Hitting technology, players will leave with metrics, an understanding of their hitting profile, and drills for home. Players and parents are welcome to ask Coach Kevin questions relating to their swing and mechanics, or his experiences with the Yankees!

The Yard Baseball Academy College Coaches Showcase and Skills Camp

The Yard Baseball Academy is proud to host a premier College Showcase/Skills Camp to the DMV area. Our showcase camp is focused on putting prospective student-athletes on the field with college coaches from neighboring areas. College coaches will provide instruction at various stations (pitching, catching, fielding, and hitting), communicating feedback on how to improve while also evaluating players.

Velo Camp

5 week velocity development clinic run by University of Maryland Director of Pitching Operations, Nick Robinson. This program offers routines for mobility, arm care, plyo balls, medicine ball and more. While getting mechanical adjustments and measurable metrics for progress.

Stick-Em Catching Clinic

4-week catching clinic run by Harford Community College Assistant Coach, Jake Wyandt. Jake is a former catcher at Harford Community and Auburn University. Small groups to maximize player-coach communication/attention. This clinic will focus on current catching techniques including stances, receiving, blocking, and transition/pop time. Participants will leave with an improved defensive mentality and personalized drills for home.

Going Yard

2-part hitting clinic run by New York Yankees Hitting Coach, Kevin Martir, and Washington Nationals, World Series Champion, Jake Noll. Small groups to maximize the player-coach experience. This clinic will focus on swing fundamentals, approach, and pitch recognition. Players will be able to take home personal mental cues for in-game adjustments and drills for home. Kevin Martir will coach the first session and Jake Noll will coach the second session.
