Overview
The Yard’s Strength Training & Throwing Membership (Ages 13–18) is a year-round development program focused on building strength, improving throwing mechanics, and creating long-term consistency in a high-level training environment.
Each athlete begins with a MANDATORY movement evaluation and motor preferences assessment to build a personalized strength and throwing program based on how they move and perform. During the initial evaluation, players will be assessed on their throwing/pitching to establish a baseline of their current ability and development needs. Programs are individualized based on each athlete’s evaluation results, training history, schedule, workload, and goals.
Training emphasizes strength progression, repeatable mechanics, structured arm care, and translating development into in-game performance. Athletes are coached through strength training, throwing mechanics, and supervised bullpen sessions while utilizing tools such as Rapsodo and video analysis to track progress over time.
Athletes may choose between 2-day and 3-day per week memberships, with training available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:00 PM–8:00 PM. Sessions are flexible and do not require scheduling, allowing athletes to train around their school, practice, and competition schedules.
